ReaLift + Duradero
Duradero
The Brand
Duradero, 45 years in the making, was founded by Jim Musial and Todd Stewardson, who came together after extensive careers in the footwear industry to begin their dream of building their own footwear company in 2020. Realizing legacy boot brands in the market were not building a long-lasting boot for workers, they built an innovative boot design, paired with a go-to-market strategy of having a resoling guarantee. Their design, customer service, and quality attracted the attention of many shoppers who wanted a more durable, wider, and better-fitting boot for the work site.
The Problem
Duradero hit the ground running with successful marketing campaigns and selling their products online. However, due to not having a wholesale presence, shoppers were trying on their shoes for the first time when they arrived at their doorstep. Since their shoes have a very large toe-box and an even larger wide-width option, shoppers were purchasing larger boots than they were accustomed to due to legacy brands having more narrow or smaller shoes (especially popular tennis shoes). Furthermore, Duradero marketed "true to size" boots, which, for some shoppers, could be what they normally wear in tennis shoes. Adding in the "try before you buy" campaign encouraged ordering multiple sizes, but Duradero had many unnecessary returns, hurting inventory and marketing performance.
The Solution
Duradero deployed ReaLift's web-based footwear sizing solution, which enabled shoppers to find their ideal Duradero boot size. Shoppers were recommended their best boot size and width to purchase.
After six months of launching ReaLift on their footwear products, Duradero gained substantial improvements in KPIs including:
