The Brand
Founded in 2014, GREATS is the first sneaker brand born in Brooklyn. A pioneer in direct-to-consumer footwear, GREATS is well known for its timeless yet aspirational and versatile styles. A favorite of Hollywood A-listers, the brand has become synonymous with high quality footwear at an exceptional price/value proposition for today’s consumer. GREATS was previously owned by Steve Madden, Ltd., and was recently acquired by Unified Commerce Group.
The Problem
GREATS products have superior fit and comfort, but design differences across styles can lead to slight differences in sizing, which is typical for any footwear merchant. In addition to the lack of physical retail presence, shoppers were guessing what product size to purchase. This led to an uptick in returns, decreasing customer lifetime value with shoppers. As a result, GREATS needed a way to help reduce returns and improve customer satisfaction.
